First off, I'd like to start by introducing myself. I'm John (aka Kivetros / Sortevik / _glitch_ / altcomplex, depending on who you ask), Tim's net-bro. (Oh! Win for coining a phrase!) I met Tim in summer of 2006, back when he thought that trance was cool. We met on a really stupid website that I won't bother mentioning that neither of us participate on anymore, but we've been working together (read: he's been doing all the work and I've been falling through on all the collabs) ever since. Oh yes, I produce too. But I'm not going to post a link to my stuff, 'cos I'm not very good / worth listening to. I might someday, but not now.
My strength is journalism more than it is music, so I will now shamelessly self-promote and mention my blog: http://www.subnorml.blogspot.com/. I started it not too long ago, when Tim mentioned that he was making a blog. I love to write, so I just up and started [sub]norml.
Wow. This post is [FAR TOO LONG] already. Sorry... I forgot that I'm on an mp3 blog here, not a lifestyle blog, as mine is. This is going to take some getting used to.
As you probably already know, Tim's huge into italo. Technically, I discovered italo before he did, but I quickly gave up on it 'cos I didn't know where to get it. Then, he stumbled across quite a lot of it, so he's currently the official italo fan of the two of us. (Unlike Tim, I still think trance is cool.) But I do like it, and a lot.
I'm surprised that Tim hasn't posted this gem of a track yet. Can Delight by My Mine is probably my mental definition of what italo is supposed to be - happy, catchy, bouncy, and very danceable. Personally, I prefer the Swedish remix, mostly because it's longer and also because I like the drumwork a bit better.
Either way, here's the original, and the Swedish remix.
See you all around - I'm off to post on my blog.
